Every Saturday at St Anselm’s in Harrow-on-the-Hill, children aged 4β12 step into a space where it’s safe to try, to play, and to be themselves. Through acting, singing and dancing, we help each child find their voiceβand the confidence to use it.
Β
Our teachers aren’t just experienced performersβthey’re warm, energetic people who know how to bring a shy child out of their shell and keep an enthusiastic one reaching further. Whatever your child brings on the day, we meet them there.
Term by term, we watch children change: standing taller, speaking up in class, trying things they’d have once said no to.
Β
For Speak Up Drama, it’s never just about performance. It’s about confidence, teamwork and self-belief that stay with a child long after Saturday morning.

Why Speak Up?
Confident or shy β every child will grow. We believe every child is the author of their own story…
- Develop self-expression, teamwork & communication
- Build confidence & self-esteem
- Improve communication & public speaking
- Learn from experienced, dedicated performing arts teachers
- Experience the joy of performing, from playful role play to the term showcase
Our approach
Every Speak Up session is built around original material β songs, scripts and games designed in-house to spark imagination and fuel real development, not off-the-shelf drama exercises. That’s what keeps sessions fresh, engaging, and rooted in our child-first approach to building confidence and life skills.

Parents & Carers Testimonials
Just Amazing π€© My little girl absolutely loves it !!!! This is her second year enjoying her Drama π classes and couldnβt recommend it more!!!
Thank you so much Speak Up for encouraging children from all ages and all backgrounds π€©ππ»Super Inclusive!
This club has been so incredible for my son who after COVID had become even shyer than before. He struggled to make eye contact and engage in activities both in and out of school.
We can see such a change in his confidence and heβs become more expressive and animated at home and even his class teacher provided some wonderful feedback regarding his relationship building within the classroom and confidence in speaking up in class.
The main change was Speak Up Drama – the coaches are just amazing and you can really see the love they put into their sessions and how committed they are to be inclusive and ensure everyone feels part of the group.Thank you so much Teri and team!
I can only say positive things about Teri and the Speak Up Drama team!
They fostered my kids’ confidence and entertained them with engaging exercises. Drama with Teri was the only after school club my kids never wanted to miss!
